The Meteorological Department today forecasted that rain or storm is likely to occur across the country in the next few hours till 1 pm from 5:00 am on Wednesday.
Besides, the river ports of 11 regions are asked to hoist cautionary signal number two while remaining others are asked to hoist cautionary signal number one, the met office said in a warning message early this morning.
According to the release that in association with rain or thundershowers temporary South or SouthEasterly squally wind speed 60-80 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar wherein river ports shall hoist riverine warning signal number two till 1 pm.
Besides, rain or thundershower with squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur elsewhere in the country. The river ports of these regions are asked to hoist cautionary signal number one.
